That is correct, Jim Nantz and his dulcet tones have invaded my blog. (Note: First time ever using "dulcet" correctly in a sentence, think I pulled it off quite well. Except for this part.) But back to the tradition angle. As everybody who is anybody knows, the NBA Draft was held tonight in delightful New Jersey Whatever Their Arena's Name Is. And also as everybody knows, every year on Draft Night, I release a picture that has somehow weaved in Wu-Tang Clan references.
.
Actually, this is the first year that has happened, but traditions have to start somewhere. And I know this may seem like an odd custom to repeat year after year right now, but I urge you to think twice, maybe even three times, before mocking it. Just imagine what it must have looked like to outsiders when the very first kids to walk up to a neighbor's house and randomly ask for candy did so on the last day of an October past. And look what a special day that turned into. So, I think we can all agree...NBA Draft Wu-Tang Pic Night could very possibly be this country's next great Halloween-like holiday. Did I mention it is currently 3:42 AM?
.
I'm going over my self-imposed 2 paragraph limit, but I probably should explain the picture, at least a little. I'll make it quick. Scott Van Pelt Show. Ryen Russillo also talks on there. They routinely incorporate Wu lyrics and philosophies into the show. Thought it would be funny. They use giant cardboard cut-outs of their own heads now as lead-ins, so this may never make it to air. Still think it's funny.
